Members Evening

Having been unable to have a large function in our Clubhouse for nearly two years due to the pandemic, the Club is pleased to announce a members open evening is to be held, for ALL members (Ladies, Gents, EGGS, Juniors, Academies and all) on Thursday 16th September 2021 starting at 7 pm.

Apart from the obvious chance to meet the Clubs officials, as well as new colleagues and playing partners, the main event will be the displaying and discussion of the course architect, Jonathan Gaunt’s recommendations for Beverley.

The plans will be displayed in the clubhouse from Friday 10th September 2021 to allow members the chance to view them ahead of the meeting.

The proposals from Jonathan are simply his thoughts and it’s unlikely they will all be implemented. Some of the changes are higher priority with phase one of the work due to start in November 2021. We are grateful to the Pasture Masters for their cooperation in allowing these changes.

It is worth pointing out that the proposals for the 4th, 7th and 8th holes are much longer-term projects due to the finance required to complete them.

In addition to this, there will be rules officials available, to take members new and old through the three main misunderstood local rules at the Club, free relief from the fences, dung and sprinkler heads, if time permits. Members can also ask any questions regarding all aspects of the game.

So put a note in your diary and we hope to see you all to debate the exciting times ahead for Beverley and East Riding Golf Club.
