The club is currently working towards obtaining the Golf Mark/ Safe Golf accreditation as required by England Golf. The Safe Golf accreditation is likely to become mandatory for all clubs and it is possible that clubs not receiving such accreditation will not be allowed to become affiliated to the Yorkshire Union.

The first phase of the process involves the adoption of Safeguarding procedures for both adults and children. Two Safeguarding policies have been drawn up and adopted by the Board at the Zoom Board meeting on 18th June 2020.

Cameron Thomson has been appointed as the Club Welfare Officer having attended the necessary Safeguarding courses to perform the role.

Part of the accreditation process involves the circulation of both policies to members and these are attached for your information. The documents are necessarily quite lengthy and my apologies for that but I would recommend having a quick browse through the documents. The documents are available to view here and copies will be displayed around the Club.
