Please see below following the relaxation of playing numbers and the opening up of the practice facilities and putting green.
Tee times will remain at strict ten minute intervals. It is important that members wait until their allotted tee time and do not tee off early. We have recently received complaints from members that this is not being adhered to with some members teeing off only six minutes after the group ahead. The ten minute interval reduces the possibility of congestion around the course, particularly the 3rd and 4th tees and should help to ensure we remain within the social distancing guidelines.
In addition, the hard, fast conditions that we are currently enjoying mean the ball is flying further so the space between groups is essential for safety.
This weekend sees the return of competitive golf with complimentary Am AM competitions being held on Saturday and Sunday. The 10 minute interval will therefore be doubly important and the pace of play will be assessed to see if changes need to be made for future competitions. Scorecards will be used for the first time since golf resumed and you will receive further advice during the week with instructions for submitting your scorecards.
Once again, many thanks for your continued patience and cooperation in our phased return to golf.
