Lady Captain’s Newsletter 13-12-2021

At this special festive time, I would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and best wishes for the New Year. My year as Lady Captain is flying by, but it has been a very full and enjoyable year and I would like to thank everyone for their continued support.

A big thank you to Veronica Farrar and the marketing team for the excellent reports in the Beverley Life over the past year and their promotion of the Club as a whole. Veronica will be stepping back from this role shortly, but she and the team have done a wonderful job.

If you want to help in the further development of our Club, please fill in the Questionnaire which has been sent out this week.

Congratulations to Natalie on her new job. She will be greatly missed by us all for her welcome smile and work over the past year in the shop and Clubhouse.

Teams represented Beverley in the East Yorkshire Ladies’ Winter Golf Alliance (EYLWGA) Foursomes Competition in York on the 4th November. It was an enjoyable day, although Beverley didn’t make it onto the winners list on this occasion.
Unfortunately, the EYLWGA Foursomes Competition to be held in Easingwold on the 2nd December and the next round in the Hull and District Competition to be played at Hornsea on the 6th December were both cancelled due to bad weather and course conditions.

Our Ladies’ 10 Hole Stableford, Lunch and Prizegiving is to be held on Tuesday 14th December. Lunch will be followed by the presentation of prizes and trophies won over the last year and past members have been invited to join us on this special occasion.

The ladies had a very enjoyable end of year Christmas Dinner/Dance on the evening of the 3rd December with entertainment from Sean Finch (and Simon’s Northern Soul Dance). A big thank you to Chrissie and the catering team; it was a wonderful evening.

With very best wishes to all,

Jan
